Assassin’s Creed 4 Hidden Blade-Updated

Edward Kenway’s hidden blade stand is now complete.  Included in the photo is a AC IV journal exclusive to Barnes and Noble. Here is the link

I shorten the post and finished wrapping it in red felt. Only thing I want to do now is add some nautical rope around the base.

I stained the base a weathered gray.

I am currently working on a display for my Edward Kenway’s hidden blade from Assassin’s Creed 4:Black Flag.  My lovely girlfriend got it for me at Gamestop.  And because she is a girl she managed to get them to sell it to her at a discount.  Damn I love her.  Anyways…I wanted to build a display since I can’t wear it all the time however I haven’t built anything in awhile so thought best to start with cheap materials.  If it turns out nice I may make a new version with velvet and nice wood.

Materials purchased

  • circle base – $1.99
  • 2′ PVC tube – $3.79
  • cranberry felt squares –  4/$1.00

So far only step I have taken in using fabric glue to attach the felt squares to the PVC pipe.  My next step will be to stain the circle base a appropriate wood color and cut the PVC pipe to a shorter length.

Age of Piracy in Assassins Creed 4

Edward Kenway from Assasin’s Creed 4:Black Flag

Yesterday I completed the main story of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.  Afterwards I felt a little hollow inside going on pirate adventures with Edward Kenway and seeing where his encounters with real famous pirates would go. Granted, I still have about 20% of the side missions to complete still. Now I can begin to explore the revamped multiplayer with its game lab and abundance of new tactics. There is not much of the story line that I want to give away, but naturally, at the end, you do get to meet a young Haytham Kenway.  No real surprise there.

Thankfully 2014 will feature a DLC with quartermaster Adewale and the re-release of Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation HD for consoles.
