Feast of Winter Veil is in full swing. The World Event runs from December 16th-January 2nd. If you are playing as Horde, head over to Orgrimmar and see what Great-Father Winter has for you. Likewise, if you are playing as Alliance, head over to Ironforge and see what Greatfather Winter has for you. You will spend most of your time in your respected capital city, in Alterac Mountains (where the Daily Quests send you) and in enemy capitals to work on achievements.

You can buy patterns and recipes from Smokeywood Pastures NPC’s.

You also have a chance at getting 4 pets from christmas presents under the tree on December 25th.

There is also a 1% chance of a Dagger dropping from the Daily. I got Miniature Winter Veil Tree last Feast, but no such luck this year.

The big achievement of the event is  Merrymaker. It goes towards the achievement  What a Long, Strange Trip It’s Been and rewards the Merrymaker title.

The achievements for Winter Veil are:

You might have noticed that when you go into Inns, you see Winter Revelers. If you /kiss one of the revelers, 2 things are going to happen.

  1. You will get a Mistletoe debuff, which prevents you from kissing another Reveler for an hour.
  2. you get 1 of 3 rewards that you need to complete some of the achievements: Fresh HollyHandful of SnowflakesMistletoe.

Fa-la-la-la-Ogri’la requires you to use  Fresh Holly or  Preserved Holly while doing the Bomb Them Again! daily quest in Blade’s Edge Mountains. When you complete the quest, you will get the achievement.

To finish Bros. Before Ho Ho Ho’s, Alliance players will need to obtain 8 pieces of  Mistletoe while Horde players will only need 3. Then, players need to visit NPCs and use the Mistletoe on them.

The Daily Quest in Alterac Mountains is pretty much a Tank n Spank. The Abominable Greench has kidnapped Metzen the Reindeer. You have to go find the Greench, kill him, and talk to Metzen and he will return to Father-Winter.

Siege of Orgrimmar Trailer

Congrats Blizzard, by blowing up the pools in the Vale, you have now made Garrosh more hated than even Sephiroth

The Dark Below

Today, Blizzard trademarked “The Dark Below.” It could be either a WoW expansion, or a D3 expansion. I am leaning more towards a WoW expansion, and it dealing with Azshara, and possibly (hopefully) finally facing N’Zoth.

Once more gets released, I will put it hear, but I’m not expecting anything really knew until Blizzcon

Warcraft Leveling Guide- A New Addition

When I first started playing World of Warcraft, Andrew would explain everything.B ut because I didn’t know what something would look like or why I needed it, I never really understood why I was doing what I was doing. I was even sitting next to him on the sofa and “go to the cooking trainer in Org” meant I just walked around in hopes I would find it, and if I didn’t I would say “yeah I found him we’re good”.

I tried to get my sister playing it was hard to explain to her how to get things moving along without me knowing exactly how she had things set up, as well as her not knowing how I did so me saying “put frost bolt first” meant nothing to her. This of course leads to frustration!

That is why I have decided to start a new page you can find at the top called A Girl’s Guide to Leveling, I will try my hardest to explain the in’s and outs of what I have learned. Plus I will throw in where you can see cute things and how to screw with the other faction sometimes.

It will be SO much fun; I will have a series of screenshots, pictures of me attempting to kill things, and videos. If anything it will be educational and pretty hilarious with some pop up cameos of my cats here and there because they both are in great need of attention.

If you have any ideas, requests, suggestions, or just wanna be snarky, feel free to leave comments or you can drop us a line on Facebook or Twitter.

Ending the Weekend Perfectly with The Lich King Mega Blocks

For many “normal people” a perfect ending to the weekend is a nice dinner, a movie, and getting to bed early.

Not for geeks. A perfect week’s ending can consist of many things; For instance, a marathon of our favorite television show, several wins in a battleground, finally hitting the max level, organizing your gaming shelves, or building stuff with Legos or Mega Blocks!!!!
